they wont go away!How can i get rid of the white bruises on my finger nails?
They could be calcium deposits as mentioned or a protein or zinc deficiency. Try to eat more food containing these. Cheese,beef, tofu, seafood. The only way to get rid of them is to let your nails grow out which can take several weeks.How can i get rid of the white bruises on my finger nails?
they are calcium deposits and totally normal
They are not bruises but calcium deposits. I get them from time to time, They come they go. There's not much you can do about them they eventually just dissappear. If you have a lot you either need calcuim or have had too much. Don't worry about it, If you need calciim drink your milk eat your icecream take calcuim pills %26amp; if you do this too mcuh cut back.
The white spots are due to an injury of some sort, and you have to let time heal them! The following website has a great explaination of why they occur:
'; Fingernails grow at an average rate of half an inch per month, so most visible injuries to the nail take about eight weeks to grow out completely. Sometimes, white spots on fingernails fade before they completely grow out.';

';The spots you notice are not caused by a calcium deficiency. They're called ';leukonychia'; and are very common. Most of the time the white spots simply are a sign of some past injury to the matrix (base) of your nails. By the time the white spot shows up (about six weeks after the injury) you've probably forgotten all about banging or knocking your fingers. Whatever the cause, the spots are temporary and will grow out as your nails grow. However, it can take more than eight months for nails to grow out completely so the spots may be around for a while.';
