I had that problem for a long time.I found a cure for that by using a pair of tweezers to clean under my nails.This should be done after you have washed your hands with soap.This will make it softer and easier for the skin under the nails to move back.When you see a white line on your nails that's a start.Then you need to go by some nail polish that is really a liquid oil called Nutra Nail Nail Strenghner.After you have cleaned form under your nails like I said you then polish your nails under the nail ,on top of the nail and making sure you dap some under the cuiticals and let dry(only takes a couple of seconds) then you use Nutra Nail Green tea nail polish (use two coats by letting the first one dry first).Use this on your nails everyday if you (like you should) bathe and wash dishes everyday because you know the wear and tear of your nail pollish from working on the computer,clean wih cleaning products,soapy water,etc.


The polish cost about $5.99 or a dollar cheaper or more at CVS,Eckerds or WalMart.The use to come as a set at Eckerds or CVS but I guess since it has beome popular the price has increased a lot.


Also Sally Hansen clear nail polish is terific as well.I use that as well like either using Green Tea one day and Sally Hansen a couple days later.I use to bite the crap out of my nails from when I was a child to a adult.Then after having boys my nails began growing and I after I would have my sons they break off and I created this idea and stuk to it.I don't bite on my nails anymore(unless I am watching a scary movie)and I use this method and I have strong medium length.They could be longer but if you don't work, clean your house or etc then you could have long nails with this method .But if you do work,clean your home,etc then you would have Meduim healthy pretty nails that people ask you how much or where do you get your nails done at.I hate those fake nails.I tried them one time for a wedding a few years ago and they hurt like crazy when they shave your nails down and hurt more when they put gunk on them.So I am all natural.Good luck....How can I make my finger nails grow stronger?
I know this may sound strange, but eat gelatin. That will help some. Another way is to add a B vitamin called Biotin to your diet. Try the nutritional stores to find it.

Theres this stuff called ';Hard as Nails'; it comes in a little bottle like fingernail polish comes in, it's probably even in the fingernail polish area in the store. Hope that helps.
I dont like buying the commercial nail treatments, they seem way to expensive and I have never had any success with them. Try taking a fresh garlic clove and mincing it. Then add it to clear bottom coat. Let it sit for a few days and then apply the polish every day. I have done this before and the results where great. Don't worry about the garlic smell, it goes away after about an hour (so put it on before bed lol)
A product called Ecrinal...its a strengthening cream. You rub it on your cuticles (and I rub it lightly over the rest of my nail too) and I found within about a week my nails were noticeably stronger and if I stop using it for awhile, my nails get really weak and brittle again.
