Can you clip a kitten toe nails and polish them with finger nails polish?

Do not paint the cats claws! She would probably injest the polish because cats use their paws to clean themselves, and often use their teeth to clean out their claws. You don't want to torture the poor cat with the strong smell of the polish anyway. She will resent you for it.

Use cat claw trimmers and only take off a tiny bit at the end of the nail. Never use trimmers that are made for humans or dogs, because you are more likely to hurt her that way. Do it once a week. Here's a website that shows you how:Can you clip a kitten toe nails and polish them with finger nails polish?
NO! Cats lick their paws and nail polish contains TOXINS! Kittens and cats are not ';dolls'; or ';toys'; - DO NOT put nail polish on your kitten's toe nails!

Cats toenails can be clipped - using a clipper especially made for this purpose, but you must be careful that you do not cut them too short - you can hurt them and their is a vein that will cause bleeding if you cut the toenail too short.

If you are a child, it would be best to have an adult clip the kitten's toenails until they can teach you how to do it properly. Can you clip a kitten toe nails and polish them with finger nails polish?
You can clip them if you're careful to clip only the tip. Use a clipper for pet nails, not a human nail clipper.

I would not do the nail polish, even the kind recommended for dogs. Unlike doggie nails, cats' claws retract. So even if you could get the kitten to hold still for it, when you let go I imagine that claw is going right back into the paw, which sounds like it's just going to create a mess and ruin her pawdicure.

Although, saying ';pawdicure'; is fun. :)
Be sure to get the pet-friendly non-toxic colors from a professional groomer, and if you are going to do this yourself, wrap kitty in a towel, expose one paw at a time and retract the nails, allowing adequate drying time between nails.

Do not use hair dryer, air dry only. It is rather a taxing process which is why having a groomer do this is not only safer, is worth the price in eliminating mutual strain for you and kitten(s).
oh yeah totally! I used to work @ a grooming shop and the groomers had nail polish for the pets. I think its super cute. The only thing with cats is their claws retract so it'd be difficult to see the paint. Another option: they have these things called Soft Paws. They are these little plastic caps that glue on the nails. They come in different colors so it looks like the nails are painted. They don't hurt and the nail continues to grow under it, when they get long, the caps fall off and you replace them as needed. If you want to paint the nails, check a pet store for a brand made for pets.
yes you can trim the kittys nails..and polish them..opi even makes a brand just for animals called ';pawlish'; it is super fast drying and NON TOXIC and it is a one coat coverage.

good luck and have fun....ps..the more you get her doing it now the better and more used to it she will become.
If you clip the nails too short you will hit the quick.. and they will bleed

So only take off the very tip of the nail

As far as polishing them I wouldn't ... first of all because cats hate that smell (polish) and if they licked it it might make them sick!
This is a cat not a doll, not a human - only do that if they specifically ask for it. You are smarter than the Paris Hilton's of this planet.
Yes you can clip them and paint them with pet friendly polish used for dogs. Good luck holding a kitten down while it's being done!
i suppose you could, but he will kill you in your sleep.

as soon as he smells that nail polish, you will be peeling him off your face.
you can try! im sure if the kitten is laid back it wont be a problem. gOOd luck!
I'm sure you could but don't cut the nail to short or it could bleed.
You could try but I don't think you will get far.
I suppose you could...

BUT, that's demented...why would you want to do that?
nail polish is TOXIC !!!
THAT'S MEAN!! =(
