Why do finger nails grow faster than toe nails?

Toenails naturally grow 10 times slower than fingernails. For the reason: You don't need your toe nails to grow as fast as your fingernails. We don't really use our toenails to do anything, other than look pretty when us girls where high heels or sandals.

Because we use our hands more often and the fingernails are stimulated to grow just by tapping them on a surface.
