Why do ppl have white spots on their finger nails?

and why not on their toe nails?Why do ppl have white spots on their finger nails?
It's from bumping them on the nail bed then it's like brused so it growns out.Why do ppl have white spots on their finger nails?
idk i've always wondered the same thing...calcium maybe?
I believe its calcium buildup, I could be wrong

polish stay one your nails too long is does that , to avoid that wear nail polish one week and take off couple days and wear it again .
